Thirty Days War (1 ene 1618 año – 31 dic 1648 año)
Descripción:
Fought throughout central Europe, this war was caused by possibly the most destructive conflicts in world history - Protestant vs. Catholic. The consequences of this war affected the people well after the war and beyond mortality by war's violence. Many were affected by famine, disease, and the plague. It resulted in 8 million fatalities. See "Defenestration of Prague" for more details, but the election of Ferdinand II started this war by imposing religious uniformity. The northern Protestant states, angered by the violation of their rights to choose, which had been granted in the Peace of Augsburg, banded together to form the Protestant Union.
