February 10th, 1754 to 1763 - French and Indian War (11 nov 1710 año – 15 mayo 1785 año)

Descripción:

Description: The French and Indian War was a border war that put the British and French against each other. The French had the alliance of the Native Americans, who had also been involved in conflict with the Brits prior to the war.
Causes: The British initially wanted to settle along the Ohio River Valley and start a trade between themselves and the natives; however, the French had already resided there and, thus, refused to move, causing general George Washington to lead an army to attack.
Historical Impact: The war ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1763, which gave England control of the American Midwest and Canada, securing the rule of England around the colonies.
