US starts a revolutionary war against England and won their independence.

Causes:
I) England heavily taxing colonies and there were no benefits given to them. No taxation
2) Intolerable Acts which led to the formation of the Continental Congress and created colonial resistance against England.
3) First and Second Continental Congress which created the Declaration of rights and grievances and the Olive tree branch petition.
4) Drafting of the Declaration of Independence

Impact:
Americans gained independence from Great Britain and became an independent nation.
