1900-1950 (1 ene 1900 año – 30 dic 1950 año)

Descripción:

Petticoats were abandoned for long, straight skirts.

During WWI, women worked in shops, offices, and factories, so they needed practical clothing.

In the 1920’s, the “flapper dress” became popular. It was straight, short, adorned with fringe or beads and worn with long beads.

In the 1930’s, women became active in sports so wide leg trousers and shorts above the knee were worn.

Evening gowns were long, and form fitting.

Men’s fashion included a suit and by 1940, women began wearing suits, as well.

During WWII fabric was rationed and used for military uniforms and equipment. Women’s skirts became slimmer and shorter due to the lack of fabric available.

Jumpsuits and slacks began to be worn as women replaced men in the factories.
