“Beowulf” is the oldest epic written in Old English dated between 8th-11th century. The story of Beowulf takes place in southern Sweden. Beowulf fights monsters and dragons in order to bring safety to his own and to other people. "Beowulf" may be the oldest surviving long story in Old English and is commonly cited as one of the most important works of Old English literature.
