Life of Jochebed, the daughter of Levi and mother of Moses.

No mention of her age is given in the Bible, but some indications are given in apocryphal works and Jewish tradition. According to these she was born as Jacob entered Egypt, and gave birth to Moses when she was 130. However, her age at death is not known. So, considering that she nursed Moses until he was weaned, and assuming this to be at least 5 years, she would have lived at least 5 years after his birth. It is also believed that she taught Moses his true heritage, indicating that she lived until he was at least 10. These assumptions make the earliest time of her death to be at 140 years, or the date given in this timeline.
