Bloody Kansas (21 mayo 1856 año – 29 ene 1861 año)

Descripción:

A pro-slavery mob burned down the town of Lawrence, proving that they would fight to make Kansas a slave state. This newfound show of violence set off a series of events now termed as Bloody Kansas. John Brown, an abolitionist leader, became mad and decided to fight back. In order to scare off those who promoted slavery, he and his followers killed five of them, returning the favor of what they'd done to Lawrence. The violence took off and ended with around two hundred deaths. The disagreement over slavery had finally reached extremely violent levels, and this war set the stage for a much larger, deadlier one that would soon follow.
