Descripción:

~During WWI, women worked in shops, offices, and factories, so they needed practical clothing.
~In the 1920’s, the “flapper dress” became popular. It was straight, short, adorned with fringe or beads and worn with long beads.
~In the 1930’s, women became active in sports so wide leg trousers and shorts above the knee were worn.
~Evening gowns were long, and form fitting.
~Men’s fashion included a suit and by 1940, women began wearing suits, as well.
~During WWII fabric was rationed and used for military uniforms and equipment. Women’s skirts became slimmer and shorter due to the lack of fabric available.
~Jumpsuits and slacks began to be worn as women replaced men in the factories.
