Sakoku Policy (24 jul 1633 año – 24 mayo 1853 año)
Descripción:
Japanese seclusion policy in which they shut themselves off from the outside world. This is used as a factor to say why Japan didn't stay as a global economic, technological and military leader. They didn't receive any of the outside information coming from European or Chinese innovations. The Enlightenment enirely missed them and it took the Americans forcing them to open their borders before they would begin making the growths seen by the global neighbours.
