D-Day also named The Invasion of Normandy was the largest seaborne invasion in history. This was a joint effort by all of the Allied Forces to attack the German Forces on the coast of Normandy. With a huge force of over 150,000 soldiers, the Allies landed on five beaches along the coast of Normandy. The Allied forces attacked and gained a victory that became the turning point for World War II in Europe. D-Day was very important as it marked the first time in the war that Allied troops threatened Germany's control of Europe.
