Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer , physicist and engineer that best fits the theme of (NI) National and European identity because of what he was able to discover and contribute to the fields of science . He was the first to use the telescope which even advanced his discoveries of the world. Which he discovered the four moons of Jupiter. He was also know as the father of the scientific method, modern science and physics.
