Greece, Romania, Serbia, Albania, and Bulgaria Separate from the Ottoman Empire (1 ene 1829 año – 1 ene 1922 año)
Descripción:
From 1829-1922, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Albania, and Bulgaria all separated from the Ottoman Empire because they wanted to rule themselves. The Ottoman Empire was a multicultural empire that stretched over a wide territory in Europe/the Middle East/North Africa, so the people living in the empire spoke many different languages and participated in varying religions and cultures. Over time, the countries in the Ottoman Empire wanted to separate and only share territory with similar people, so they revolted causing long wars. Eventually, the Ottoman Empire divided and lost its land to individual governments.
