Time period of the Renaissance. This time period was a time of social reform and recovery from the Dark Middle Ages. Many advances in art were made, especially in painting, sculpture, and architechture. Also led to the Humanist movement. This time period fits the theme of National and European Identity because this time period is about how Europe recooperates and reidentifies itself after the destruction of the Dark Ages. This time period also fits the theme of Interaction of Europe and the World because this is a time of branching out and European colonization.
