Descripción:

After Charles I invaded parliament to make arrests of conspirators, the parliament was fed up with his attempts to undermine their power. Thus, they made the New Model Army. Charles was captured and Prides Purge occurred only leaving the Rump Parliament (consisting of 53 members). They trialed Charles I and found him guilty and beheaded him, leaving England without a monarch. This lead to Cromwell's attempt to change England into a common wealth nation.
