The Council of Trent was a gathering of Catholic authority's in response to the Protestant Reformation during which Catholicism underwent its own reforms. This event was significant to IS because it changed the religion which most people at the time in Europe still followed, and because the shift in the church changed beliefs of the common people as well as heightened tensions.Añadido al timeline:
