Descripción:

This war was a defining moment in European history because it showed the balance of power shift a strong Holy Roman Empire influence to a French influence. It started off as a small regional war when King Ferdinand II attempted to impose uniform religion on his country and grew into a war involving most of Western Europe. It saw the balance of power begin to shift away from the Hapsburg dynasties and go to France.
