During this time, the 2008 presidential election was occurring. Throughout the process of Barrack Obama being selected as the nominee for the Democratic party, my parents continuously listened to the news and provided advice or any comments in generally about politics. Meanwhile, many windows around the city were seen decorated with different sign supporting a certain nominee (mostly Obama).

At the time, I began to feel more intelligent and informed. I was very proud of my newfound knowledge in an important aspect of our community. Over time, I continued to grow more informed and knowledgeable on the topic of politics and the structure of government our nation works on. I also, began to notice how different people had try different feelings about politics and how some would either always or never discuss it.
