The American revolution was an act of retaliation against England which led to 8 years of battle between the two. After many long years of battle and death, the British empire finally had surrendered against the colonist by a treaty that was signed in Paris later named "The Treaty of Paris." This gave the colonist independence from their former motherland country and finally gave them the opportunity to start their own country named the United States of America.Añadido al timeline:
