Australopithecus Afarensis (1 ene 4000000 año aC – 1 ene 3000000 año aC)
Descripción:
1. They had the brain size of an orange.
2. They had an ape face shape, but walked mostly upright.
3. They found sharp sticks and rocks as tools, but did not make them.
4. Even though they were bipedal, they still had curved fingers and hands like apes.
From the photo of the skull I can infer that this species had a laid back forehead like an ape.
Australopithecus did not migrate anywhere out of Africa.
The map you see below is where Lucy, one of the first Australopithecus to be found, was found.
