The Qin Dynasty, founded by Qin Shihuangdi, was the first centralized dynasty of China and cemented the tradition of centralized rule for the rest of Chinese history. Shihuangdi ruled according to legalist philosophies. Moreover, Qin Shihuangdi built a system of roads to facilitate communications and trade, unified the currencies, laws, weights, measures, and scripts of the various regions of China, making him liked by many, however, he also executed those who spoke out against him and burned all books excluding books of utilitarian value making some oppose him. The Qin Dynasty ended the year after Qin Shihuangdi's death due to laborer revolts. (2.1)(2.2)(2.3)
