During 58 BC and 50 BC Caesar conquered most of Gaul (now France) and he wrote about hisjourney in much detail. His military success made him a very prominent figure in Romanic politics. He was a strong speak and won many supporters within his forum. He thhen formed an alliance with Pompey, whom was one of two influential men in Rome.
