The French & Indian War was a nine year war that left Britain neck deep in debt which is what led to a lot of the harsh policies that came on the colonies later. The main cause of the war was over the land in North America and territorial lines. Although it initially seemed like the French were winning, however Britain did turning it into a superpower.
