The Black Death (30 dic 1320 año – 30 dic 1350 año)

The second outbreak of plague, ranging from 1320-1350s. Once again, the disease begins in Central Asia and is brought to Europe through the Silk Road. The pathogen was believed to have remained dormant in rodents, which were then hunted and skinned to sell their pelts. The spread of the pathogen is faster and reaches further than the first outbreak because of maritime trade. It was believed the plague was caused by miasmas, God's vengeance, and the Jewish community. Although the Black Death ends in the 1350's, outbreaks of the second epidemic last until the 1830s.
