The War of 1812 (18 jun 1812 año – 18 feb 1815 año)

Descripción:

Congress passed a plan called Macon's Bill Number Two which stated that if Britain or France were to drop their restrictions on trade then the US would cancel all trade with them. Britain stated that they wouldn't restrict items, but they would still seize American ships; this essentially leads to war two years later in 1812. Later, Andrew Jackson leads the US to victory in the Battle of New Orleans, 1815. It helped establish a new sense of nationalism and helped raise the outlook from the rest of the world.
