J.J. Thomson and Cathode Rays (10 ene 1897 año – 10 dic 1897 año)
Descripción:
English scientist JJ Thomson discovered the existence of electrons, through his cathode ray experiment. This experiment involved driving out an electric current from a vessel from which most of the air or other gas has been pumped out. Thomson had his own vision of what atoms looked like. It was called the plum pudding model, which can be seen above. The plum pudding model depicted atoms as a uniform substance.
