Abolitionism (1 ene 1830 año – 6 dic 1865 año)
Descripción:
Abolitionism is remembered as the social and political movement to put an end to slavery. In the U.S., the movement found its awakenings as a result of the spread of greater progressive and transcendentalist thought, and also partially due to religious fervor throughout northern churches following the great awakening. Abolitionism would lead to steps in ending slavery, such as the cessation of the slave trade.
