Dust Bowl (1 ene 1930 año – 1 ene 1936 año)
Descripción:
The Dust Bowl was a time period when extreme dust storms swept American and Canadian prairies. Mass destruction of homes, ecology, and agriculture occurred. The Dust Bowl was not a natural occurrence, instead, it was caused by farmers heavily plowing the topsoil of the Great Plains. This caused deep-rooted grass to be ripped out of the ground. These deep-rooted grassed trapped soil and moisture during drought. So when drought came, there was no backup plan, and huge dust storms were created. Other variables influenced the Dust Bowl, but this was one of the main factors.
