Greco-Persian Wars (1 ene 499 año aC – 1 ene 449 año aC)
Descripción:
The Greco-Persian Wars were a series of conflicts between the city-states of Greece and the Achaemenid empire. They started when the Greeks of Ionia rebelled against their Persian rulers. They got more extreme when Darius of Persia launched a campaign against Greece due to the fact that they funded Ionia when they were fighting the Persians. The Greeks and Persians sparred occasionally for a long period of time. Their standoff ended when Alexander The Great rose to power. The Persian war led to the foundation of the Delian League. (2.2)
