His role in economy:
He wanted to improve the living standards of the soviets, and to turn Russia into a World Superpower by:
-Collectivisation (Revolutionise agriculture to be able to feed all the population) Which resulted in chaos and starvation. Because not all agreed to the policy of the state controlling their fields and production.
-Industialisation (Focus on the indistrialisation of heavy industry, like oil, gas, steel, etc.) It created some problems, because it was all focused in heavy industries, and there were shortages of costumer's goods, like clothes.
