Austro-Prussian War (14 jun 1866 año – 21 dic 1866 año)

Descripción:

A war between the various States of the German Confederation, primary between Prussia and its allies versus Austria and their allies. Additional allies included the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont, and Tuscany on the sides of Prussia, and Austria respectively.

The War would see multiple Prussian annexations from various minor German states, as well as the German areas of Bohemia and the former Duchy of Holstein. It also ended in the formation of the North German Confederation and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

In the Italian peninsula, minor concessions were given to Sardinia by Tuscany, Modena, and Lombardy-Venetia. While Sardinia was not given any direct Austrian holdings, they were given the Tuscan enclaves and Reggio from Modena and Reggio. In terms of islands, they gained Gorgona, Elba, Pianosa, and Montecristo from Tuscany.
