1863: The Lynx Creek Resolution goes into effect. (1 jul 1863 año – 12 jul 1863 año)
Descripción:
In 1863, the Lynx Creek resolution was signed, which banned Asian and Mexican miners from working in the mines. Although a majority of miners were of European descent, banning the few Asian and Mexican miners showed how much deep-rooted racism was present in the newly developed region. Not much is recorded about this event, however, other mining districts were inspired to pass similar resolutions.
