The 1st Indatvir took the Hāmayniāš dynasty completely by surprise with its invasion of Fardā: bedecked in armour strengthened by Zivic runes, wielding enchanted weapons that set men ablaze whenever their steel met flesh, and led by powerful Rimanahr sorcerers, the armies of Airion Saliriq plunged deep into the heart of Fardā in their invasion.

The war begun in favour of the Rimanahr, who crushed Hamaynid armies in no less than three major battles, and seized only enough land to not overextend their supply lines; however, Airion underestimated Artašazd's will to keep fighting, as well as the resilience of the Fardāns.

Having originally planned to only seize the southwest of Fardā to not overextend his state through his conquests, Airion was forced to continue the war and cautiously strike deeper into Fardā, due to Artašazd's refusal to accept any offers of peace sent to him by Airion.

Through skirmishes in the Fardān plateau and a refusal to engage the Rimanahr in open battle, the Fardāns were able to force back Airion's attacks through sheer attrition, and turned the war into a bloody stalemate until the Rimanahr had exhausted much of their manpower, which they had less of than the Fardāns.

In the late stages of the war, Fardāns conscripted from occupied territories and increasingly brutal spells failed to prevent the Rimanahr from losing the territories they conquered. Artašazd's Magi learned ways to counter the Rimanahr's Zivic sorcery, and now having the manpower advantage as well as ways to counter the Rimanahr's magic, the Fardāns counter-attacked with great success.

Airion ordered a last ditch grand offensive to seize the city of Bujān, which to his credit, went surprisingly well. The city was close to falling, and its capture would have prevented a total Hamaynid victory in the war, but Artašazd arrived with his army to relieve the city in the nick of time, and slew Airion in battle after a lengthy duel.

The Rimanahr were entirely expelled from Fardā, and Artašazd reconquered all the territories they had taken. A peace treaty was not signed until 2 years after the last Rimanahr had fled from Fardā.
