Organised as a backlash and boycott of The Stand starring Amber Heard which launched in the USA, Canada, India, Poland and Turkey on 17 December 2020 having already released in Brazil on 16 December 2020. The objective was to drown out any trending The Stand or Amber Heard may have hoped to achieve whilst also promoting Johnny Depp. An added benefit would be proving to the streaming services that Johnny Depp still reached a very sizeable audience.

Hashtags used were: #JohnnyDepp, #JusticeForJohnnyDepp, #Deppcember, WeStandWithJohnnyDepp, and #DeppMovieNight.

A few media reported on the phenomena that was #DeppMovieNight confirming it was a huge success that achieved it objectives.

The Stand then launched in Mexico and several European countries 3 January 2021 so the Depp Army repeated the exercise.
