又名遏父，号虞遂。仕周武王，官为陶正。助周克商。前1047年，牧野决战，推翻了商纣王的统治，建立了周朝，周武王取得天下后，进行大分封诸侯，封阏父之子满于陈国，都城宛丘（今河南省淮阳县）
