This one General Lee's greatest victories. The battle took place in Spotsylvania County Virginia. He split the army between him and general Jackson to flank the union troops. after days of fights the union army retreated and resulted in a decisive victory for the confederates. Although General Jackson was injured from friendly fire and died 4 days later.
