The Habanic Genocide (1 feb 34 año aC – 15 agos 50 año)

Descripción:

Due to the giant rivalry between the Iopan and Haban civilizations, the Great Haban War allowed for Iopo, who held the initiative for most of the war, to begin eradicating the Habanic peoples. The soldiers would burn down entire Haban villages, scorching and stealing their crops, imprisoning them, and committing mass executions of enemy soldiers after battles. The bodies were either buried (if there were not many), burned alongside the villages or in piles, or simply just left to rot which happened more so with enemy soldiers than with civilians.

After the war, Iopo gained large tracts of land, thus granting it greater access to the Haban populations. This further promoted the Habanic Genocide, but as after the war, many Haban refugees fled for the Nuom Mountains, the genocide lasted much longer than intended. Soldiers were dispatched on regular missions into the mountains to hunt down any Habanic people and by 50 AG, this was complete, at least according to the King of Iopo in the Haban Declaration.

Although the Haban people were essentially eradicated, there were still a few populations hidden away in the mountains which either developed small settlements that could barely sustain themselves due to the climate and lack of good farming soil. One of these groups
