The Prague Spring was when the government of Czechoslovakia wanted to democratize the nation and lessen the power of the Soviet Union on the country. The Prague Spring ended with a Soviet invasion, the removal of Alexander Dubček as party leader and an end to reform within Czechoslovakia, because it showed to the whole world that the satellite Communist countries in Eastern Europe neither liked nor unconditionally supported either Communism as a system of government or the Soviet Union as their main ally.
