Collapse of the Mycenaean Empire (1 ene 1250 año aC – 1 ene 1050 año aC)
Descripción:
Mycenae was an ancient Greek civilisation that largely took place throughout the Late Bronze Age (c. 1700-1100 BCE). Mycenaeans were "indigenous Greeks who were likely stimulated by their contact with Minoan Crete and other Mediterranean cultures to develop a more sophisticated sociopolitical culture of their own."
Many significant Mycenaean palaces were destroyed in the "post-palatial" period (1250-1200 BCE), as common people were no longer under the control of the palaces. Attempts made by various Mycenaean groups to restore the palaces were unsuccessful. The decline of Mycenae's palatial system has been said by some to have been directly related to natural disasters or climate change.
