João Franco (19 mayo 1905 año – 4 feb 1908 año)

Descripción:

During the last reigns the power was in the hands of the different ministers who held legislative and executive powers.
D. Carlos decided to close Parliament and appoint João Franco as minister and as partisan criticism continued, D. Carlos authorized João Franco to govern under a dictatorship.
He was still in office when D. Carlos was assassinated on the 1st of February 1908, but was forced out on the 4th of February.
