The Great Migration (1 ene 1910 año – 1 ene 1970 año)
Descripción:
The Great Migration was the massive movement of about 6 million different African Americans from the southern states of America that had ledt to find a new freedom and better way of living after slavery had been abolished. People moved to find new opportunities, communities, and overall better treatment from those around them. This was primarily driven by the racial violence and discrimination that they had to endure for decades of their life. This movement created the different urban communities and big cities in America such as Chicago, New York, and Detriot. These areas contained thousands of African Americans and soon became thriving cultural and urban centers of the United States.
