Prohibition (17 ene 1920 año – 5 dic 1933 año)
Descripción:
Prohibition was the legal ban of the manufacturing, transportation, and sale of alcoholic beverages in the United States. This act was listed under the 18th Amendment of the United States Constitution and despite its efforts to stop people from getting drunk, it still continued to occur. Many families and especially mothers had begun to protest the consumption of alcohol to "protect" those from the horrible result of it, being drunk. As a result of this ban, many began manufacturing and selling alcohol through illegal underground speakeasies. This ban had increased the amount of crimes in the United States and also led to a decrease in tax revenue.
