Newlands proposed that elements, when arranged by increasing atomic weight, exhibited similar properties every eighth element, which he referred to as the "Law of Octaves."
Example: Newlands' Law of Octaves can be illustrated by the elements lithium (Li), sodium (Na), and potassium (K). When arranged in order of increasing atomic weight, these elements have similar chemical properties and becomes into a repeating pattern every 8th element.
