The eldest member (senior) of the Russian Imperial House from 1925 to 1931. In accordance with the laws of the Russian Empire, the will of Emperor Alexander I and his own unwillingness to rule, Konstantin Pavlovich could not become Emperor of All Russia. However, as the eldest Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov, the title of Herzog (Duke) of Schleswig-Holstein passed to him.
