Descripción:

The Russo-Japanese War was fought between the Empire of Japan and the Russian Empire during 1904 and 1905 over rival imperial ambitions in Manchuria and the Korean Empire.

Resulted in a Japanese victory, becoming the first Asian power in modern times to defeat a European power.

The post-war Treaty ultimately gave Japan control of Korea and much of South Manchuria.
