The emergence of laptops/portable computers (1 ene 1981 año – 1 abr 1989 año)

With the emergence of portable computers in the 1980s, HCI also had to be adaptable. Being portable, these interfaces (computers) had to take into account key user experience factors to make them optimal such as, but not limited to:
- Context: being portable, they had to be reasonably lightweight
- Device: being a different screen size to a desktop computer, the ability to make the laptop had to change, and so HCI had to look at how still to make these computers user friendly
Audience: the audience would inevitable be different. It is unlikely a laptop would be used in the family home, as well as a child would unlikely be taking one to school.
