NIBIRU GATEWAY MISSIONS (1 agos 2149 año – 1 agos 2159 año)

With the gateway's mechanisms still somehow whirring away after unknowable millennia of operation, humans hoping to continue the spirit of Exploration set forth by the recent Daedalus mission and Nibiru Probing Program seeked to follow this gateway to it's other side.

After analysis performed by the Daedalus mission discovered that the gateway seemed to send out "Connection Requests" to other regions of the galaxy on a sporadic and unpredictable cycle, it was concluded that whoever fired the shot that killed Venus was no longer on the other side. At least for now.

Sometimes the gateway would spend months connected to a single far off region of space, other times it would last only a few days. No rhyme or reason could be found to the gateway's changes.

In order to spread humanity to the stars as soon as possible, should the destroyers of Venus come back to finish the Job, a series of 12 manned colonial exploration starships were commissioned by the I.S.A. to be sent through the gateway individually, to different connected systems each time.

The brave Astronauts who volunteered for the program knew it would not be a return Journey, but in the spirit of ensuring the survival and spread of humanity across the stars, crews for all ships were found.

No signal could be detected from the new locations the ships were supposed to have emerged at on the other side of the gateway, but with so many lightyears between them and Earth this was to be expected. It would be decades, if not centuries, before the fates of these brave crews were truly known...
