World War 1 (28 jul 1914 año – 11 nov 1918 año)

Descripción:

The war started only when archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. He was the heir to the throne of Austria and Hungary. Austria and Hungary blamed Serbia for the assassination and so declared war. Soon after that, other countries joined in, and made pacts to help a certain country. These countries also wanted to fight to make sure that their own countries were safe.
This war was one of the deadliest wars in history, killing 16 million people and injuring more than 20 million people. Most of the fighting in this war took place throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.
The first world war was only and introduction to a way more deadlier war, WW2.
This event affected Australia's migration because many people wanted to escape the war.
