Also known as the protestant reformation. Was a religious revolution that took power over Europe in the 16th century also founding the start of protestantism, a major branch of christianity. Over the years in Europe the church slowly grew in power over the politics in western europe, with rampant corruption. Some of the biggest leaders of this reformation were Martin Luther and John Calvin using their far reaching economic and political power to help create what is known as protestantism.
