Unipolar
World
Order (1 feb 1991 año – 1 ene 2007 año)
Descripción:
With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Early 90's saw the U.S.A. emerge as the world's first ever uncontested superpower. With military and economic might that cannot be matched by any other world power, the United States stood in a unique position in world history. Some historians and political analysts of the day naively referred to this new political dynamic as "The End of History".
It would take a long time after the disippation of the Unipolar world order for things to fully sink in that the Unipolar world order was momentary, and somewhat squandered, as a calmer and more relaxed U.S.A. was slowly but surely caught up to by younger and more desperate nation-states. Most notably the B.R.I.C.S. alliance of nations which would form out of a coalition between Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South-Africa.
The 2007 Global Financial crisis would come not as a totally fatal wound, but a crippling blow. America continued onward, but the momentum it had once had during the cold war seemed gone and unwilling to return.
While historians disagree on specifics, most 23rd century scholars place the tangible end of the guaranteed Unipolar world order between the Global Financial Crisis of 2007 and the Covid Financial Recession of 2020-2022.
