Beccaria was a legal philosopher, economist, politician, and considered as the Father of Criminal Justice. He focused on criminal rights like getting rid of corrupt court systems such as secret trials and death penalties. He also introduced a new idea saying that the punishment should correspond with the magnitude of their crime.
